The volleyball portion of the Rome trip did not fare so well. Ashley and I lost in the country quota to the other US team of Hanson/Rutledge. We lead in game two, but managed to squander that lead away towards the end of the game with some unforced errors.
Despite our loss, we managed to really enjoy our time in Rome!! Both Ashley and Guy brought their moms on the trip and we all shared a cute little apartment near the Terminal bus stop which was perfect to hop on and tour the city. We had five days and I feel like we managed to see just about every inch of Rome. The wine and risotto were amazing. And the architecture and history were breath taking.
